Compatibility: This tool uses MediaRecorder and Web Audio to capture the audio of a video playing inside your browser. It can only process videos with supported audio codecs. Recordings without sound will not produce a useful soundtrack. MP3 output requires a JavaScript encoder loaded from a CDN. All file processing occurs locally on the visitor’s device.

How to Extract Audio from Video

Upload a compatible video containing sound, select MP3 or WAV as the output format, and click Extract Audio from Video. The tool captures the soundtrack during playback, converts it to your selected format, and provides an audio preview and download.

MP3 uses lossy compression to create smaller audio files, while WAV contains uncompressed PCM audio. Some videos may not work because their codecs are unsupported by the browser. The tool does not remove dialogue or separate music from the original soundtrack.
